TORONTO, March 27, 2025 — Mattamy Homes’ Urban Design Studio has been awarded the Gold Award for Best Design Centre at The Nationals, a leading North American awards program presented by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The prestigious award recognizes excellence in home-building design, sales, and marketing.
The recognition highlights Mattamy’s innovative approach to redefining the home-buying experience, particularly for mid-rise and high-rise residential developments. The Urban Design Studio, created in collaboration with Canadian interior design firm Figure3, was praised for its blend of functionality and sophistication.
According to Niall Haggart, President of Mattamy’s GTA Urban Division, the award affirms the company’s focus on customer experience.

The Urban Design Studio includes a variety of interactive features designed to enhance the personalization process for homebuyers. These include two model kitchens, a model washroom, laundry closets, door selections, and EV charging station displays, allowing buyers to engage with the design elements directly. The space also showcases the latest in home design trends and finishes.
Since opening in 2023, the studio has hosted more than 800 design appointments, underscoring its role in streamlining and improving the pre-construction buying process.
The Nationals, organized by the NAHB, is widely recognized as one of the most respected awards programs in the North American homebuilding industry. The program honors outstanding achievements in various aspects of the industry, including architecture, interior design, marketing, and customer service.
